LETTERS

Elaborating Hector's contemporary art assignment LETTERS.

The first part :

It is a series of fiction inspired by old letters and photos from strangers bought at a store in Lascar Row. It is a research-based combination of reality and imagination by tracing the history of the bought letters.

The second part:

I decided to send these letters back to the addressees of the letters -
How would the addressees react when they receive the letters again?
I searched the addressees with the addresses on the letters.
Most of the addressees were no longer there.
I tried to understand the addressees as well as their neighbourhood
through a series of research.

Since there are some technicals problems,
it is unavaliable for me to show the 3 video clips which document
my process of finding these strangers. I try to document the whole process in form of a book.
There is 7 maps inside which records my path.
In my stallation, there are 3 old mail boxes which collected

a. the process book
b. original old photos and letters from strangers and the fiction I wrote for them
c. guest book ( in form of letters)

the background is an combination of
some parts of fiction I wrote, original letters,
and would like to create a hinden map which shows the addresses on the letters.

I know the presentation of this work stills have space to be improved.
My message and content cannot fully presented.
so please feel free to commend on my work =]
